Don’t tell mama, but tell us!

At the Hotel and restaurant Museum, we are collecting your memories of DTM nightclub. Tell us what it was like to party, look for company, perform, work and so on at the legendary nightclub! Did something unforgettable happen there? What did DTM mean for you and/or your community? How did the nightclub change with time and with changes in location?

DTM nightclub was closed last summer and we want to record memories and experiences of the nightclub spanning its over 30-year history. We welcome responses from those who partied, those who performed and from those who worked at DTM. Your memory or experience can have taken place in any of the nightclub’s four locations (Annakatu/Iso Roobertinkatu/Mannerheimintie or Teurastamo).

You can share a short individual memory or write about your experiences in more detail. You can also share your memories by uploading a voice message or donate photographs from DTM to the museum. You can use your real same, a pseudonum, or stay anonymous.

Share your memories here:

You have until the 6th of January 2026 to answer.

The survey is a part of Queer History Month and its aim is to record restaurant culture and night life from a LHBTIQA+ perspective into the Hotel and Restaurant Museum’s collections and therefore to promote a more diverse recording of history and cultural heritage.

Thank you for your responses!
