Christmas in Helsinki
Are you spending the holidays in Helsinki? Welcome to experience the Christmas atmosphere with us at the Hotel and Restaurant Museum starting from December 9th!
Christmas elves have taken over the exhibition Taste Matters (Makuasioita in Finnish) – can you find them all? Examine the exhibition carefully, as the shy elves might be hiding in surprising places. You can play our Elf Bingo independently using the instructions found in the exhibition space. Playing bingo is suitable for all ages.
In the Nature Room in the exhibition Taste Matters, a Christmas tree is also waiting for decorations on its branches. Share your favorite holiday food with us and other museum visitors, and hang it on the tree for the joy and inspiration of others.
Elf Bingo and the Christmas Tree are part of our program between 9th December 2025 and 11th January 2026.
Adults with the museum’s admission fee (€16 / €6 / €0), Helsinki Card, or Museum Card.
Entry to the museum is free for those under 18, as always.
The museum is closed on 24–26 December 2025 and 31 December 2025 – 1 January 2026.
At other times, the museum is open normally.
You can also find holiday program in our neighboring museum, the Theatre Museum. In the gift shop, you can buy lovely souvenirs from your museum visit. At the Cable Factory’s Kahvibaari (coffee bar), you can taste some delicious festive flavors. Check Kahvibaari’s opening hours here since there might be exceptions during holidays.
